Alan Bayne Associates replaced the single glazed rather chilly and damp 1960‘s clubhouse of the former public school St Joseph’s with a well balanced and spacious Pavilion style facility for the Croydon Post Office Social, and Athletic Club.
Within are entrance hall, loos, bar and stores, kitchen, lounge, utility, stage and dance floors. Alongside snooker, pool, darts, table tennis and clubhouse meeting rooms, all leading onto the viewing terrace. Look out for the jazz club nights.
A playing area, with 7 football pitches, a cricket square, an all weather training surface, a large modern 4000 sq ft floor area clubhouse and a separate changing room block with tea room facilities, on 23 acres.
